So as a dm I've learned the scariest thing you can do to your players is just roll behind the screen with no explanation. So after one of my players got a new fancy sword, anytime there was a lull in the game I'd roll. I set my dc at 10, and was rolling hot for a while. Three sessions later, I finally failed, looked at the fighter and said "your sword coughs"

For my 21st birthday we were joking about going bar hopping but playing dungeons and dragons irl So we’d fuckin have like random number generators on our phones and then if we roll a one we have to punch them but if we roll a 20 we have to try to bang them
