So back when I had pancreatitis, my pancreas just stopped making insulin. And I had to take insulin before every meal for like a month. And the doctors couldn’t classify it as diabetes because it was only temporary insulin therapy and that MAJORLY pissed off the insurance company because “you don’t have diabetes why do you need insulin ummm too bad I guess pay out of pocket” and I had to get an attorney to literally conference call the insurance company and guilt trip/threaten to sue the pants off of them for denying insulin therapy to a patient that would die without it
