a college republican went crying to tucker carlson last night because some black classmates photoshopped his face onto a literal cracker

Yo this is my school!!! Okay let’s provide some backstory:
So my school is v White but also v liberal
Anyways we’re also a very academic/professional-driven institution so a lot (not all) of our students are taught about things like intersectionality, feminism, acceptance, etc through academic settings
And this boy, Ryan Wolfe, apparently took an issue to that and he published his opinions in the student-run conservative review website
Here are some of the topics he wrote on:
- how to “survive” social justice
- how intersectionality is fake
- SJWs want the most oppressed people to be in power because they’re the most special
- why the women’s march wasn’t inclusive (and why all the conservatives on campus were great for not causing riots when two of the leaders of the march came to campus)
- how BLM is ruining public perception of police officers
- “how to survive college as a conservative”
- conservative professors speaking out about being outnumbered and the minority
Anyways, total fuckboy
So back during the 2016 election season, the few conservatives we have on campus got together to host a panel about the future of the Republican Party and how it isn’t racist or whatever
And this panel is made up of entirely white people
So someone (I forget who) started a joke comparing them all to saltines
And Wolfe (the saltine) went off on them on twitter doing the typical fuckboy thing and complaining about how safe spaces don’t exist and saying that the panel wouldn’t be a safe space for anyone (ironic, no?)
And AFTER THE PANEL SOMEONE (her name’s Bri) JUST GOT UP AND HANDED THE GUY A BOX OF SALTINES WITH HIS FACE PHOTOSHOPPED ONTO THE CRACKERS
And THIS BOI GOES AND TRIES TO COMPLAIN TO THE ADMINISTRATION ABOUT FEELING UNSAFE ON CAMPUS AND UNABLE TO EXPRESS HIS OPINIONS LIKE BOY WHAT DO YOU THINK A SAFE SPACE IS
Our diversity and inclusion committee (also our committee for addressing prejudice-related harassment on campus) was like lol r u serious and he was like yeah
So they were like fine I guess we do technically have to do something if it’s harassment so they did the same thing they always do for smaller harassment cases on campus (two steps: 1) separating the students, 2) mediated meetings) the third step was the judicial case and the University was like nope we’ve already addressed your ridiculousness as much as we’re willing to sorry bud
And then he went and cried to Fox News and I got a text from my dad at 11:30 at night “racism at wake forest has gotten out of hand this is not acceptable” and I got to go down this rabbit hole of finding out about all this mess just like the rest of you and boy it gave me such a good laugh
(Also people are now calling him “Cryan” instead of “Ryan” so if you want to get that going please do)
Anyways for those of you wondering (like me) why this is just now coming out despite the fact that it happened a year and a half ago, it’s bc he’s graduating and wants a job as a journalist with Fox News so like laugh but also be v critical of the whole thing bc it’s very intentional on his part
i think we should drop piers morgan and tucker carlson on a deserted island in the pacific for a few months and see what happens. i think it could be funny.
“If Elon Musk has his way, the effects on Twitter of his buying up the social media platform will end up being the least of our problems. To get a sense of how bad this could get, it’s instructive to look at the parallels between Musk’s Twitter acquisition and the creation of Fox News. When Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch started Fox News in the late 1990s, they envisioned the channel as a counterbalance to the rest of the supposedly liberal media, a cudgel to deploy against the news media to get coverage for manufactured controversies and right-wing misinformation. Musk views Twitter in much the same way that Murdoch and Ailes saw Fox at its inception. To Musk, social media companies haven’t just gone too far in addressing extremism, bigotry, and disinformation – they shouldn’t be addressing these issues at all. Musk’s vision of Twitter isn’t simply as a platform free from constraints, but as an instrument to counterbalance the “woke” social networks. As Twitter’s new owner, Musk will open the floodgates of hate and lies by undoing a host of very basic protections against harassment, abuse, and disinformation. There is a reason why banned users—ranging from Roger Stone and Marjorie Taylor Greene to QAnon and Infowars conspiracy theorists to white supremacists—are all celebrating this acquisition and gleefully anticipating the restoration of their accounts.”

Elon Musk Will Use Twitter to Update Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News Playbook
The second this purchase is finalized, every fascist in the world will be handed a megaphone so loud and unaccountable, they will use it to drown out every voice that isn’t their own.
This is a DISASTER for marginalized people, and a deadly weapon for autocrats.
Fox News
Hey so the Epoch Times are sending out sample sections of their paper that are ostensibly inocuous but have disgusting subtext. They’re like the print form of Fox News but even more conspiratorial. They make “timelines” of “Spygate” or China manufacturing and releasing COVID and they promote holistic bunk in their health section. It’s poisonous.
The sample I got was basically a summary of a conservative book that implied Gen Z was failing despite “unprecedented economic prosperity” because they’ve been “coddled” as children and now suffer from mood disorders that are really just unexamined character flaws.
For one, Millennials and Gen Z don’t disproportionately suffer from mood disorders, they’re just more likely to have it diagnosed for various reasons like the declining stigma around having a mental health problem.
But they also don’t live in “prosperity” at all. A huge amount of 17-year-olds either take on over a hundred thousand dollars of debt or are tricked into killing other poor people because they’ve been taught that only the military deserve free healthcare. They’re told to get a bachelor’s degree to help with their job prospects but then they’re told they weren’t actually educated and were indoctrinated with liberal values so your degree is worthless. We have low unemployment, sure, but besides being arbitrary, it doesn’t say anything about under-employment. The minimum wage is no longer a living wage because inflation has greatly outpaced wages for a while. Younger generations recognize the dangers of climate change but are gaslighted by industry telling them the problem can be solved by personal responsibility but at the same time the people who can actually make a difference are choosing not to. In a time of unprecedented connection, people are becoming less globalist and more xenophobic and nationalistic.
It’s a paradox born out of wanting it both ways: the economy is great but a lot of people are failing, it must be a character flaw that makes them fail regardless of how easy it is to succeed. It’s nefarious and it’s trying to get a foot in the door so more people can get desensitized to the creep of fascism. Don’t fall for it, protect our elders from being manipulated.
I just looked up their wiki page and I-

*gay apple employee voice* “so like, you totally, like, get this from fox news? im clever”
This is my least favorite cyberpunk future I gotta say.
they have so little respect for the intelligence of this generation
Disgusting
Fox reporter: What do you think of this blatantly offensive thing?
College students: I don’t appreciate the light-hearted dehumanization of fellow human beings
Fox reporter: lmao listen to this sjw bullshit #lol #kek #triggered
wow…so they went to an Ivy League school with some of the brightest and hardworking young minds in the country and attempted to shame them for being intellectually sound and thoughtful of race in America? this shows you how disgustingly warped conservatives see the world and how they cater to the lowest common denominator, because this was supposed to make academics seem bourgeois.
Please take a seat, Fox News. Your thinly veiled racism is starting to be much less veiled….
Conservatives on just annoying pieces of shit
