I think it’s important for me, as someone with a platform, to talk about drug addiction. Especially alcoholism. I’m not proud of being an alcoholic, (now in recovery!) but it’s part of me. It’s part of my soul and my character and I wouldn’t change a single thing about me so in a weird sense I’m glad I went through that. I’m glad whatever powers may be put me through that struggle. Because it made me stronger, smarter, and more resilient. And that’s something I’ll cherish having with me.
