In Thin Lizzy’s classic hit “The Boys Are Back In Town”, there are multiple references to the boys returning to the Town in the spring (“Won't be long 'til summer comes, now that the boys are here again”), suggesting they are a migratory group of individuals. In this essay I will propose: given the songs lyrics, the referenced group of “boys” are, in fact, geese.
There’s also the line “if the boys wanna fight you better let ‘em” suggesting they are aggressive and territorial. So yeah, geese fit the bill
