Every time my cat cuddles up to me or meows in my face for attention it makes me wanna cry because like. I got her from the shelter and she was just the saddest little kitty. A runt, bad with kids, other animals, and men, slept all the time, and was skittish. Bullshit. They put me in the meeting room with her and she’s almost immediately a puddle in my arms, purring, slow blinking, head butting, everything. I literally couldn’t put her down, she’d just climb back up. I take her home. She’s afraid of everything at first but I sit on the kitchen floor with her when she eats. I play with her toy mouse with her. I put her cat bed on my bed for a week or so. I make sure it’s lined with her favorite blankie that the shelter gave her. And she really begins to shine. She’s such a silly baby. She’s okay around my bf now (not 100%, but we’re working on it) she wakes us up yelling every morning for her treatsies. She greets me at the door every time I come home. She’s like…. And I’ve had cats my whole life, but she’s my special little baby. So much so that I can blabber on and on about her lmao
