frankie and i got really high and went to spray paint the skate park at last night and frankie, a bug nerd, tried to write “bugs rule” at the bottom of the skate bowl, but they got distracted and wrote, super huge, “BUGS RUG” and we were trying so hard to not die of laughter so the cops didnt come but we were WHEEZING on our backs at the bottom of the bowl in complete darkness. we went back in the morning and took a pic. u can also see the trans anarchy symbol i did.
I was cooking and saw two boxelder bugs on the counter but my hands were messy so I just put a jar over them to deal with later and then shortly after that a fly landed on the counter so I trapped him in the jar too and not 10 minutes later I come back to chuck them all outside and the fly is DEAD and the two boxelder bugs are racing each other in a circle around the jar
what if, like bats, blood-sucking vampires actually represent a small percentage of the full vampire population and most horrible undead creatures of the night are adapted to eat bugs, fruits, and nectars
let
them
eat
bugs
You, a Ventrue: dignified, refined, drinks only the blood of virgins from a crystal glass
Me, a Nosferatu: vaccums up every bug in sight while screaming like the goblin I am
Me, a Toreador: Lounges dramatically on a fainting couch while beautiful people bring me beautifully arranged plates of various exotic fruits.
Me, a Malkavian: Takes a big bite out of a flower, muttering “Gotta pollinate.”
These four vampires are your party
It’s that time of year again

Today I learned that the university of Coimbra in Portugal has a great 18th-century library, the Biblioteca Joanina, that maintains a colony of bats to effectively control the population of paper-eating insects called papirófagos. These bats are less than an inch long. They roost during the day behind the bookcases and come out at night. There doesn’t seem to be any English word for papirófago, a cursory search turns up no details about what sort of insect they are, and ngl I am slightly concerned about them as a phenomenon. But I think my overarching point here is clear:
This library keeps tiny bats that look after the books.

I’m here for tiny bats saving books.
Aaaahhh!!
