To just put this in some context that makes it even more fucking awful and cruel - Keely Shaye Smith is Pierce Brosnan's second wife, they've been together for thirty years now and they have two sons plus his children from his first marriage, and he's spoken quite a lot about how lucky he's been to find happiness again with her after some absolutely brutal losses (and she's got quite an impressive CV of her own if you have a look - she's been an actress, TV presenter and environmental activist for decades).

He was with his first wife, the Aussie actress Cassandra Harris for seventeen years - he famously adored her (she was the one who wanted him to try for Bond originally), and they had a son and he adopted her two kids from her first marriage after their father died in 1986 (like I cannot stress how much tragedy there is in this situation). Cassandra died from ovarian cancer in 1991, four years after diagnosis - this was the same disease her own mother had died of, and what also go on to kill their daughter Charlotte in 2013, so he has been understandably devastated by this multiple times over.

This is not on any level the dude you want to be using as an example of 'why you should avoid marriage'.
