One of my drivers caught on his dashcam today two stolen chargers whipping around his van, one of which has a head on collision with a lady in the other lane while going 90+ mph. My driver stops to check on the lady. She’s covered in blood. Leg is severed clean off. She died before the ambulance got there with my driver trying to comfort her through the window because the door was too busted to get open. Stolen cars have no plates, they ditch the busted car that hit the lady and get in their friends car and run, and you can hear in the dashcam video them laughing the whole time. Cops get there and won’t do anything because there aren’t any plate numbers. My driver comes back to the station covered in someone else’s blood, pissed off and freaked out.
Thinking about it is so weird though because like. My mom used to work ER and see trauma patients like that all day long and fuck dude I could never do it. Like I have the depersonalization skills in the moment to stay calm and do first aid and stuff but then I'd have to sit down and stare at a wall for 3 hours
I was reading about Prion Diseases (stuff like mad cow disease and chronic wasting disease) and similar to how mad cow disease jumped the species barrier to humans, it’s only a matter of time before CWD jumps from deer to humans. What’s scarier is that we don’t know how long these prion diseases can stay dormant in a human. Patient zero might already be out there.

It’s weird the levels of gore I can handle like I took criminology and forensics classes in highschool and there is no amount of human roadkill, suicide by shotgun, badly decomposed bodies, horrific bodily injuries, etc. that will phase me but the second I see some dude break his leg playing baseball on tv I gotta leave the mf room that shit grosses me out

My parents and I were watching this dumb horror movie idk what it was called I just watched for a few minutes and they showed a scene where someone committed suicide via shotgun and I commented “oh I hate when the eyes stay in and open” and my parents just looked at me like I was a serial killer
In high school I was in a criminology and forensics class and we had to look at crime scene photos and one case we were looking at the dude had an anal prolapse and his wife was mad at him for something so in the bedroom she uh, ripped his asshole out. Just. Ripped it out. Dude bled out but like what a motherfucking way to go, having your asshole ripped off. The pictures were very… interesting.
